Creative Media

Buckinghamshire is one of the UK’s strongest software and digital media clusters.  This strength is underscored by the presence of Pinewood Studios, which has cemented its place in film history as home to the James Bond series of films.

The county nurtures a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, which is evident from the work coming out of the National Film & Television School (NFTS) and Bucks New University (BNU).  Students from the NFTS have gone on to be apart of productions which have been awarded Oscars and BAFTA.

With a large number of creative and digital media firms located within the county, Buckinghamshire can boast having a high concentration of skills within this sector.  Furthermore, Buckinghamshire’s sector is diverse with firms ranging from small and medium-sized entities to large scale organisations.

In 2011, the county will host the Bucks Creative Festival which will showcase its talent and skills.  The event will be an opportunity for those outside the county to participate as well.
